Driving innovation to consolidate its leadership, anticipate the needs and habits of tomorrow, and offer new services that make it easier to use our boats; that’s what we’re all about at Grand Large Yachting.
It’s a commitment that’s clear to see in the latest news from Grand Large Yachting.
Firstly with the presentation of the Allures 45.9 featuring electronic management from Kara Technology, making this the first connected smart boat, and the first boat ever to be shown at the WEF (World Electronics Forum) in Angers. It was presented with the WEF Best Innovation award by Gary Shapiro, president of the CES in Las Vegas. A level of interest that is sure to be confirmed at the Paris and Düsseldorf boat shows, where she will be presented to the general public. Ivain Bignonet, Chairman of Kara Technology, summed up the paradigm shift that his company is offering to the market in conjunction with Allures Yachting with this particularly telling statement: “It’s no longer about the crew serving the boat, but about the boat serving the crew”.
Secondly, the Outremer yard, which received an award from ADEME (the French Environment & Energy Management Agency) for its research on e-maintenance, presented the first practical applications of its research findings at the International Multihull Boat Show: the OCM (Offshore Connected Maintenance) app will soon be available for all boats built by the Group.
